Consider diamond grinding if you need to remove such applications as epoxies, urethane or mastics, non-penetrated surfaced stain, glue or concrete cure & seal materials. To correctly bond two materials together the contractor often needs to create a mechanical profile for second applied material to adhere to the first. Shotblasting or scarification is primarily used to roughen horizontal surfaces in preparation for the application of sealers, coatings or polymer overlays. This method is also used to remove some existing coatings, adhesives, and surface contaminates. |

National uses a multi-step mechanical grinding & polishing process that incorporates industrial grade diamonds, impregnating densifiers & sealers to flatten, harden and close the porous surface of the floor. Our customers can choose the level of sheen that suites their needs from a matte finish to a high gloss finish. This versatility makes polished concrete an ideal flooring solution for many types of applications, such as: |

The ease of maintenance is one of the reason many customers are opting for polished concrete as opposed to the alternatives. Polished floors are incredibly easy to clean. Simply vacuum or sweep up loose debris with a dust mop then mop or use an auto scrubber with a neutral cleaner. No need for waxes or coatings and the many hours spent applying them. The glossy surface resists the marks of tires and staining from oil and grease. The high light reflectivity of polished concrete is another important benefit, especially for office buildings, restaurants, and other public facilities that want to project a bright, clean, professional image. Ambient light reflection can be increased by up to 100%. This can result in fewer lights and less electricity resulting in continuous savings. Since there are no coatings to peel, crack or fail polished concrete floors will last for years and years. When they do finally start to dull all that is generally required is a one or two step polishing process to return them to their previous high shine. |

Our newest service offering is the installation of polyaspartic floor coatings. Floor coatings provide a variety of benefits and are ideal for applications separate to that of polished concrete, such as garage floors, certain industrial flooring applications, certain commercial or retail settings, residential homes, parking garages, etc. The variety of application settings are vast due to its quick cure time, straightforward application process and strong and durable chemistry. That said, other major benefits of a polyaspartic floor coating include:

Choosing a high performance resinous system offers unique design options, while creating a durable and resistant finished floor. A protective concrete coating also shows superior levels of flexibility, adhesion, corrosion resistance and protection against chemical attack. Compared to traditional epoxy and urethane floor coatings, polyaspartics provide superior performance and faster installation times. Depending on the appearance desired, there are several polyaspartic floor coating systems offered. The most basic is a pigmented guard floor. More decorative finishes would include a metallic floor coating or mica-chip floor. Or for durable, textured floor coatings, a quartz or chip floor are also available. Again, the application and desired finish will determine which is most suited. Click below for more info on each system. |
